Japan Blog 37 (December 8, 2008) Onsen Experence^^)

9mm Parabellum Bullet.

They are absorbed in my eardrums now. They are what gets me through studying anymore. And it's all thanks to Nozomi. A while ago I asked all my Kyuudou Club friends to tell me all these bands/artists so I can check them out. It wasn't until now that I finally did. And this band. Too much for words. If you're the type of person who's into punk rock/sorta heavy, a little (there's only a little, sorta) screamo, or just a really good rock band, LISTEN TO THIS GROUP. You seriously won't be disappointed. I went and downloaded their whole "VAMPIRE" album and now I have to make a copy for Nozomi. And today I asked Mizuki if she knew the band (we have a lot of favorite music groups in common, well, then again she IS in a band as well) and before she said anything as an answer she just hugged me. I was taken aback, so sudden. But yeah, she was glad I liked them too. So I'm telling you, listen to them. "Wanderland" (yeah, it's with that "a") and "Supernova" are 2 pretty amazing songs. But the entire VAMPIRE album is just WOW.

Oh yeah, I finally figured out how to transfer my songs from my ipod to my computer (it's a brand new computer). So, now my ipod is in use again with new music, yay!!

I was yelled at again from a random person. This time though it was by car. I'm there waiting at my bus stop, not paying attention at the moment (I think I was fixing my skirt??), and this car drives by and some lady yelled something out the window at me. Two other people from my school were there with me, the one girl I go to school with in the morning (we NEVER talk though but we respond to each other like a, "oh hey", and we don't ignore each others' presence like everyone else). Then there was a random guy just walking pass when all this happened. When the car sped away they all looked at me and the girl I knew looked at me like the expression, "omg I can't believe that person did that. That was bad". So, it was definitely aimed at me. Geeze, what's with people here? I'm actually glad I didn't understand her. I might have took it a little personally even if it is amusing.

Saturday I went to some mountain with Tonpi, Okaa-san, and Mao. I thought that was going to get terrible but it was fun actually. The entire time we had to walk up and down this mountain to play games. There was this one ride we had to do though, it was called The Slider, and you sat on this metal thing and you slid down the mountain in curves and such. It was like a roller coaster, just no flips haha. I seriously enjoyed that day. The little things just amused me, even I found it kinda like an adventure (well, not really). There was this one part in the day where we were trying to get to some road down this huge hill we were on and we went in a direction thinking there was a path leading down when there ended up being none. Well, we're too lazy to walk to the actual path that's far away so we decide to climb/slide down it. This hill wasn't climbable. It was little a straight slope. So, we're there digging our shoes into the mud just trying not to fall (we had to be like 20 feet up. I almost did so I decided to run down the rest and even that almost went bad. I could have fell flat on my face or ran into Okaa-san on the ground. I survived though haha but that was kinda scary, it being a close call (I was laughing though of course).

And I've noticed something GOOD. Me and Tonpi are like FINALLY cool with each other. I had all tests this week and club was canceled the week tests even began so I came home each day early and Tonpi has been amazing friendly to me. The one day (I can't remember which) she took out the Wii and we played (she kicked my ass in baseball). And like when she came home, I'd be the only one in the house of course, I' be in the living room and she always said "tadaima" (I'm home) with a smile and join me at the kontatsu even though I was studying and we would usually be quiet the entire time. But she's been talking to me in a happy tone lately. I hope that doesn't change once club starts again (tomorrow actually). But it sucks even more now. We finally got past all the tension (that's the wrong word to use but I can't think of anything else to describe it) and I'm leaving in less than a month. Saturday (Dec. 6) was my exactly-1-month-until-I-leave-this-family mark. Depressing really. I mentioned that again to Ai again. Oh, and she likes my straightener now. She asked me if she could use it one day then after that she asked if she could use it in the morning. I have no problem with it. Actually makes me happy. I've seriously bonded so much. It's not a good thing, especially when it's time to part.

Then Sunday was my onsen experience. I had NO idea of this what so ever. Otoo-san and Okaa-san left in the afternoon for some reason leaving me and Tonpi (us still on good terms) then when they came back we were suddenly going to the onsen. For those who don't know what an onsen is (my sister didn't so there may be others) it's a public bath. Sure, I said before in that bath blog how many months ago that I could do it again. Well, of course onsen came in my mind and I was slightly freaking out. And an onsen is a little different from before. For one thing, my family is here. It's like exposing yourself differently. You have to live with these people. So, even though that's not a thought to them I couldn't help but think that. Oh, and the girls' and guys' baths are separated just so you know. And another thing, my GRANDPARENTS came with us also. So, even that was a little, lets say, awkward. More people would be stuffed into this area as well. When we drove up to the place I was stunned. It was literary like a fancy hotel (was a hotel included with it?). After getting myself into the area though, I eventually got used to it. And I was a little afraid that Tonpi just might look at me weird just maybe because I was different(??) but that didn't happen. Everything was completely normal, even with the grandma. Ai wasn't with us. She had work that day and we left before she came home. She then went to karaoke with her friends since we were gone. I went in a sauna, and I now hate them. I couldn't breathe! My final review on public bathing: not terrible. Awkward and embarrassing in the beginning but you eventually get over it after you realize that no one cares that you're naked. Seriously. NOW, I can say I would definitely do it again, with confidence this time ^_^ Only one downside to it if you take notice to it (I suggest just trying to avoid eye contact), and that is saggy boobs. Some of the old ladies there had them, and it kinda creeped me out. Makes me seriously not want to get old now haha.

I had to take 2 tests, English and Math. The first English (the one the Japanese teacher taught) was actually HARD for me. Sure, the questions were in Japanese but I understood what they really wanted. But the one part we were given a bunch a random words in English and we had to form a sentence with them. I swear, I spent like 5 minutes on the one question. It made no sense to me and after I "thought" I figured it out it still sounded wrong. I just left it alone though. Then there was the English test with the teachers from America and India. That test was ALL English, even the questions. So I went through it pretty fast but the one part was listening and the Indian teacher played the CD and a person spoke and we had to figure out mistakes (I'm not going into details). The point is there were 3 paragraphs read and she wouldn't even pause the CD after each one. I couldn't even keep up. When it was done the class asked her to replay it one more time. She said NO. I even needed her to play it one more time!!! If I couldn't get it all there was no way in hell these girls did either. I couldn't believe that. There was another question-thingy that was spoken out loud and she gave them the option of which they would like to hear again. I couldn't believe that. How more cruel could you be. The Math one was today. Joy that was. Geeze. If I answered ANY right it would only be one. I only had an idea of one to do on one question. I left more blank and then I just made it "look" like I was figuring out the problem but I really had no idea what the hell I was doing. So, that was fun too I suppose ^_^

Check out 9mm Parabellum Bullet.
They are awesomeeee~~~
