I spend most of my hours listening to my ipod anymore and today I got so hyped up listening to a song and that's when I decided to do this. But I do got good news^^ I was told I don't have taiko practice this Saturday so now I can watch Ki ni Naruko Chan!! Great news, right??♥
So, let's start.
Plastic Tree.
I'm a VK (Visual Kei) lover. Don't ask me why. When I first brought it up to my Kyuudou friends that I like VK they were a little surprised. But now when they go through magazines and there's VK groups in them I'm always asked if I know any of them. Maybe because most of the VK groups out there are rock bands, that's why I like them. But there's a good group of them that seriously suck, and wayy too many disband. But I downloaded Plastic Tree's "Utsusemi" album. Their song "Tetris" is the cause of this blog. Plastic Tree is pretty amazing. When I first downloaded the album I didn't care for it at all. Somehow I listened to it again and now I love it. Plastic Tree, look them up.
Another good band I've heard from many people is ONE OK ROCK. I've been too lazy to actually give them a try until now. Since they're not VK and a lot of people like them I didn't think I'd care for them, "probably not my style" I thought. Was I wrong. You NEED to listen to these guys if you seriously like rock. I downloaded their "Kanjou Effect" album and so far there is not one song I hate on it. I didn't even need to re-listen to a song twice to like it. These guys are liked for a reason. I'm simply amazed. And I waited this long to listen to them.
You know that the world of jpop is seriously changing when Ayumi Hamasaki changes her style. I downloaded her newest album "Next Level" and I almost felt like I was listening to more of Yasutaka Nakata's brilliant work. Please don't make me explain again who Nakata is. I went on about him zillions of times. But that album is really all techno pop. No lie. I like most of the music on the album but I'm just surprised that no slower tunes were included. I think "Days" was the slowest song. Then there are 2 song that are just a tune. That NEVER happens! Jpop is changing. Well, when you're starting to compete with Perfume, whose increasing popularity is incredible, you know more people are liking the new techno pop. And look at Ami Suzuki. Her older works are NOTHING like her new music. They don't even come close to relation! I haven't had the chance to hear Utada Hikaru's new album yet (I should go download that now) but I'm sure her style may be changing as well. By the way, I simply love Ayumi's song "Sparkle".
The first VK band I fell in love with is letting me down. No, they're really considered Oshare Kei, not VK. But whatever. An Cafe. An Cafe was sooo amazing♥♥♥ before Bou left them how many years ago. I think 5 now...? Bou was the most amazing guitarist they could have asked for. But in any case, they were the pop rock on my ipod. Then they got their 2 new members in 2007, Takuya and Yuuki. UNNEEDED PEOPLE. Yuuki does keyboard. That was seriously the most unneeded instrument An Cafe needed. Once they got that keyboard in, all their great happy rock tunes slowly started to fade away. When their "Gokutama Rock Cafe" album was released in 2007 I was fine with it. They had a great cover song "Cherry Saku Yuuki", and they managed to squeeze a song in there that kept it's great rock style. Their newer stuff though... they really have changed. I can't find myself liking it as much as I would love too. When "Aroma" was released it made things a little better, but I don't really care for it. They just let me down. I've lost the NYAPPY love. Gomen ne, Miku (u_u)

Holy crap. Words. I can't say I enjoy the entire albums they've released but I do like a good number of the songs on them. I have 3 of their albums and I love them. They're not a heavy rock like the rocks bands listed above. How could I explain them... Just look them up on YouTube or something♥ They're worth a listen.
Then I'm going to add in one Korean group in here. They aren't rock at all but are awesome♥ I've been listening to Super Junior as well but I love Big Bang sooo much more.
Anyway, I think that's about good right now. Here are some pictures of some other awesome bands I'm into right now.
Lolita 23q ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
LM.C ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Super Junior ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
EXILE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Glory Hill ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Last Alliance ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Dir en Grey ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
These guys are CRAZY, especially when they were still into the VK fad. Watch their older music videos like "Saku", "Obscure", and others and you'll see what I mean. Their music is still amazing to me, even though they left the VK scene. These guys lean more toward metal, or if you want you can consider it really heavy rock/screamo.
Rin Toshite Shigure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Please, you all know how much I love them already^^
Perfume ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
They are seriously the best^^
9mm Parabellum Bullet ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I've also been listening to Metro Station a lot recently. I wish they would release another album soon.
But all of these groups are good!
