Japan Blog 53 (March 22, 2009) Gah! Pratically 2 weeks went by but an AWESOME taikai♥♥

A few things happens. I got yelled at by a lady, I met my next host family, kicked ass playing basketball in gym, held off an auction of my junk, and more. 以上以上だよ。 But I'm going to start of with Perfume. Only because they are the greatest jpop, no. They ARE the greatest musical group in the world. Nozomi's friend bought Perfume's GAME Tour DVD and made her a copy. Nozomi then gave me it to watch 2 weeks ago! (we (me and Nozomi) have so much in common it's kinda scary haha). It was AWESOME! Most of the songs were super old and I was surprised to hear them sing "ジェニーはご機嫌ななめ" (Jenny is Displeased). That's from when they were still starting off in Hiroshima. Haha and I was guessing all the songs names, and I knew them all^^ (Perfume freak) and the one part they were talking to the audience and at the same time they were getting into a position and I recognized it right away screaming, "They're gunna do Polyrhythm next!" I was excited throughout, haha. The one part when they were talking to the audience, they just finished their song "Secret Secret" (yay!^^) and Kashiyuka noticed someone had a red glove on in the audience. In the "Secret Secret" music video Kashiyuka is wearing a red glove and that fan was wearing the exact same one (well he/she made it). It sounded like there was a lot of males but their voices may have just overpowered. But it's kinda sad when it's the otakus that overpopulate the audience. I wonder how that must make Perfume feel. I understand that without those otakus help they wouldn't be where they are now, but that's kinda creepy. I mean, it is otakus we're talking about. Creepy. Well, I'm sure it's not really like that now. But they're still there.

Let's talk more about Perfume♥

Have you heard their new single, "One Room Disco"? Kyaa! It's awesome and so is the music video! A~chan is so cute in this one^^ I can't wait until the CD is released on the 25th^^ Not that I'm buying it, but I'll be able to put it on my ipod once it's released. I should buy it though. AND! TERRIBLE NEWS! I was watching Ki ni Naruko Chan today and Perfume made an announcement! Next week is the last episode of Ki ni Naruko Chan! NOOO!!! I want to see it too~ But because of taiko now I can't watch it... I don't wanna have to watch it on YouTube. I guess there's nothing I can do. At the end of today's episode they did a world ki ni naru. Someone from Hiroshima-ken asked the question, "If you mix miso, soy sause, tonkatsu, (and some other flavoring stuff, I'm not going to think of everything that was listed) into ramen, what would the flavor be?". So, they all got these ingredients together and made ramen. Nocchi was the first to try it and say the flavor. "Miso!" she said. A~chan's like, "hontou ni?" and then she tried it and then, "Nocchi, it's deffinitly not miso. It's soy sause". Nocchi was all shocked and said it was miso again then Kashiyuka tried it and then agreed with A~chan on it being soy sause. Nocchi tried it again and still came to the conclusion that it was miso. The guy with them asked how she could get the flavors confused and then A~chan stated that Nocchi got pinapple and peach confused before. I bursted out laughing then. Nocchi told the camera it's miso once again and then A~chan and Kashiyuka corrected her. Funny haha. Okay! Done with Perfume!

2 Monday's ago. There was this lady. So, we had that class that's always something different on Mondays from assemblies to college people coming to talk to us. Today it was just some lady and I had no idea what it was about but I knew it wasn't college school information related. So, I decided to study. I always do and I never have trouble with doing that. Until her. I'm there practicing kanji and she comes up to me asking me what I was writing. She got all mad and I responded, "kanji desu" (I remembered to keep my words formal). Then she asks me if this was a kanji class. "Chigaimasu" (no, it isn't). She got so mad at me. Then she ended up saying things directly to me throughout the lecture when I had no idea what she was saying. What the hell. After the class Okaa-san, Shori, Kanako, Mizuki, practically everyone around me was laughing at me. They couldn't believe she got angry at an exchange student. For practicing kanji too. The class I discovered in the end was about how you should present yourself when you introduce yourself to college officials for like an interview. Like I needed to pay attention any. That stuff is sooo different compared to American colleges. Not important for me.

I have other things I need to talk about. Like my moving next week, what I know of my next family. But I'll type that up next time. Right now I wanna talk about my taikai on Friday! It was awesome! Well, I had a lot of fun just because I love my friends here too much. They are too amusing. I had to wake up at freaking 5 in the moring just to catch the train at 6:40 to Mito. After the 30 min. train ride we had to take a bus around 7:30 for 15 mins. Then we got to the taikai building. The taikai didn't start until like 9:30. A bunch of schools came but for how long we were there, it didn't seem like there were THAT many schools. No way were there for how fast the schools move out of there and for how many hours passed. My school, Hitachi Niko, we were the very last school to shoot. So we had to wait FOREVER. Do you know what time the taikai ended? 6:00. 6. We were there for...(counting)... 10 hours. 8am-6pm. Can you imagine our bordom? People fell asleep, others decided to watch the Korea vs Japan baseball game on someone's keitai (it still amazes me how you can watch TV on a keitai. Not only that, but you can talk have a phone conversation with a person to while being able to look at each other's faces on it. Like webcam. Sugei.), I ended up teaching 2 other friends how to play dots, played shiritori, and tried to have an English conversation with some people (Ikumi's idea). That didn't work out well, haha.

There was one fun thing we did though. If there was anyone to keep a watch on things in the building that person would have thought we were the rudest school haha. Me, Ikumi, Nozomi, Tomoka, Wakako, and Misaki all decided to play this oni game. It's pratically tag but a little different. So, we were running around the upper part of the gym area (all the schools were sent to the gym) like a bunch of idiots. Screaming too. The schools around us were watching us hide in random places too only to dash away. That was fun for how long it lasted. Wasted some time. Then I was overlistening to a coversation Nozomi was telling Tomoka and bursted out laughing. I'm not going to go into detail just because I'd feel bad but it involved panties. Me and Tomoka were thinking the same thing, "why were you doing that?? Where is this conversation going??" It had a totally different point in the end haha. Then everyone forgot the fact that this was my first taikai. I had no idea how to properly enter it, what to do, so a group of them became object and were teaching me how to walk and when to bow and stuff. The funny part of all that was when they became the object because they didn't just stand there.
Yeah, I was amused most of the time there. I didn't hit one target, they didn't even come close to the target either haha. And we lost. But that's okay because this supposely wasn't an important one. And I was told the winner's prize was natto. Ew. I don't need that, that's for sure. Mito's supposedly famous for natto, that's why. But it was a lot of fun. Carrying that bow around was a pain though. I had to take it home with me for one thing on Thursday. This bow is like 8 feet tall. We had to ride the bus home. That was an issue, sorta. Then I had to carry it on the train, that wasn't as bad, the on the bus 2 more times again.

And thanks to 3 people in Kyuudou I'm liking Korea more and more. I found myself rooting for Korea with them the first time they played againist Japan with them. But yeah, now I'm now talking about Korean stuff with them. And Korea is what brought us more closer. How weird. It's all we talk about though now haha. I'm now listening to Super Junior and they're TRYING to get me to like Tohoshinki. I refuse to listen to the Japanese Tohoshinki (they're from Korea but they have a Japanese album avaliable in Japan but I don't like it) so I gave the Korean version a try that Kyasarin gave me but I didn't like it much. It was an older album though, so, who knows.

I'll post another blog tomorrow maybe about my other stuff. It's spring vacation right now so I've got time to waste.
