Japan Blog 50 (Feburary 21, 2009) 北出菜奈 is back!

haha Wow I made it to 50^^

So, I was typing this up yesterday morning and when I clicked backspace for a letter, instead it backspaced the page. Angry.

Anyway, nothing much has been happening with me lately. I went to the hospital Monday. To help with my acne problem. It's bad. The grandmother was even shocked to see it when I was washing my face. She suggested going to the hospital. It was more like a clinic though. So, now I realize that when they say hospital they don't literally mean a "hospital" even though there's a different word for clinic. Good thing I have that insurance card. I was surprised with myself that I actually understood most of what the doctor was explaining and telling me to do, and as I answered his questions. The 2 nurses there were all smiley (Ai Otsuka's song "SMILEY" just came in my head, "waratte waratte kimi no egao wo mitai~♥") and nice, too. And I think they were surprised, too. In any case, when the doctor told me I have to start going to sleep at 11, I complained it was too early, and they laughed. I was given soap, cream, and a week's worth of pills that I take 2 at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm supposed to be clear within a week. I highly doubt that'll happen but at least I'll clear up some. And I'm sorta getting adjusted to the currency here. The appointment was around ¥1,000 and the medicine was ¥1,900. That's not a bad price... I think.

If anything is new though maybe it's just me studying a lot. I've found a reason that's keeping me going. There's this person I want to talk to more. I talk to her plenty already but there are many times when I have to say I don't understand that word. And I don't want that to happen. The first time I saw her before I even knew her I thought she was cool, and now that I do know her she really is. So... that's why I'm studying. But there's nothing else for me to study besides kanji and vocab. But I'm learning tons of kanji and there's vocab included with that (like yesterday I just learned the word for "escape from jail", like I'll ever need it). And it's for this reason that I'm really glad to have a keitai (cellphone). Because when I mail my friends I could use that newly learned kanji and be able to read theirs. Poor Pat, her Rotary won't let her get a cellphone because it's against their rules. I mean think about it. Since we don't get tested on our Japanese, when are we going to be using kanji and writing sentences and stuff unless we do it on our own? She can study kanji all she wants but she doesn't have that many opportunities to use it and using it also helps you remember it.

I love my keitai though♥
It has a dictionary in it. A Japanese-English AND English-Japanese. And I've just discovered that my phone could be used as a flashlight, too! There's a flashlight on the back of it! Japanese keitais are so cool♥ They do many neat things♥ It can probably do many other neat things but I can't read anything on it. So, the days I decide to click random things, I then discover more.

But back onto studying. It just seems lately that Pat knows more Japanese than me. I know for a fact I know more kanji but kanji isn't as important as conversation. So then I sorta had a break down. Sorta. I mailed Kanako begging her to teach me Japanese. I love Kanako. She's awesome. She said she'd do her best. I'm learning more about her, too. I've mentioned many times how FREAKING AMAZING her English is but there are reasons behind this! And it's not only because of the Australia exchange. When she was around 10 years old she lived in Kentucky for 2 years. Her dad's job had them move there. That is the main reason. When you live in a country for 2 years you learn the language. And now, once every week she goes to a English cram session. I must thank Pat though. If she wasn't here I wouldn't be worrying about something as important as this, most likely. So Kanako is answering all my questions and helping me when I need it. Thanks^^♥

As for 北出菜奈 (Nana Kitade), I realized she released a new single! But I'm stupid. You guys know the anime Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl)? It's a really great show if you haven't seen it. I absolutely loved the 2nd season (go watch it!). Well, the 3rd season was released I think in December and I saw a few episodes (I rarely get to watch anime anymore -cries-(;_;)) and I loved the opening song but was too lazy to find out who it was by. It's Nana Kitade! I love Nana Kitade's music and I actually thought she was stopping after her last album since it didn't get much love from fans. But wow, it took me that long to realize there was one. Idiot. I was looking through Mizuki's lolita/punk fashion magazine when I saw that. Nana Kitade is more famous for her lolita fashion in magazines and I LOVE her fashion, too! I really want to wear this! That's Nana Kitade by the way, too^^ (I took a picture!)

Kawaii desho? I love it♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!!!!
Mizuki told me about a store in Mito that sells lolita clothing. I love lolita clothing, especially the gothic lolita style, and such like Nana Kitade above^^ So, me, Mizuki, and Kei are planning to go there reallyyyyy soon!! I'm sooo excited! Lolita clothing is super expensive though so I won't be buying anything unfortunately (not sure when I would wear it anyway unless I went to Akihabara or Harajuku haha 'cause it's not really "normal"). I'm just going try on a whole bunch of clothing and take a lot of pictures^^♥ We're then going to go to the Sex Pot Revenge store^^ I will buy some clothes there for sure. That's a punk fashion store but there's a reason why I want that clothing brand in particular. An Cafe used to ONLY wear that clothing. Back when Bou was still part of the band. I miss Bou. Their music sounded better then. So, that's why. I brought the magazine to Kyuudou (Mizuki let me borrow it) and everyone was pointing at the clothes saying "kawaii!" like on every page. I say, "kawaii desho? Yaro!" (cute right? Let's do it!). Thay all laughed saying no way. They said it's cute but it's embarrassing. Pfft. The losers haha. You have guts if you go out wearing that stuff outside Akihabara and Harajuku. They won't do it though haha.
