I.
AM.
COLD.
As if my Christmas could be ruined. There was no way it could be. Sure, it wasn't Christmas but I LIKED it. That was, until I went to sleep. Koudai's friend came over when I was brushing my teeth. Now, I was almost done. Okaa-san asks me if Koudai can take the heater in his room upstairs. I couldn't say no. But do you see now? MY HEAT IS GONE. This could have been avoided I'm sure. 1) I could have went in my room sooner and then maybe Okaa-san wouldn't have asked me 2) if Otoo-san wasn't in the living room (I think Koudai opened the living room door and saw him in there and that was why he decided to go upstairs) 3) his friend could have STAYED HOME. I'll tell you what I'm wearing right now just to be on the computer. My legs NEVER get cold (it's strange, I know) but my arms freeze easily so that's all I have to worry about, my upper half. I'm wearing a warm pj shirt, 2 sweatshirts, a jacket, and a small blanket over my shoulders. Then I have a scarf wrapped around my nose and mouth. I also have a winter hat on my head trying to protect the tips of my ears (they hurt when they get cold). My fingers need protection but I don't own any gloves. Note to self: when I get to a shopping area buy gloves. My fingers freeze when I ride my bike to club, too. Worse than now.
So, Christmas.
I thought for sure I'd be eating Christmas cake. Nope. I did however eat the smallest slice of apple pie I have in my entire life. It was small. This is what I did Christmas though. Since I was alone in the house I decided to watch some tv, try to find some anime stations. It's been sooo long since I've actually watched an anime. I got scared when I found like 10 porno channels I had no idea how that happened. I couldn't believe they were even available like that. ANYWAY, I found a station playing Naruto but it was technically over. Another with DBZ but that show doesn't amuse me like it used to. So once Naruto was over I watched what was next since the DBZ channel was showing more DBZ. I watched Pokemon. Yeah. It was good to see Misty again (it was one of the older ones) and I'm really impressed at how well the English voices match the Japanese. Except the new voice actor for Misty in the English. That sucks. Has anyone watched both the Japanese and the English versions of DBZ? If you have only seen the English watch a little bit of the Japanese just so you can hear Goku's and Gohan's voice. I wanted to claw my ears off. IT'S TERRIBLE! The English sound sooo much more "manly". I couldn't believe those were the originals.
At night I gave my presents to the family, all except Ai who I didn't even see come home (what time did she get home anyway??). Well, it was unexpected for everyone. I only gave small things, most of the stuff I had with me to give when I first arrived. But I guess they (or at least Okaa-san) felt like they had to give something back. Even though Tonpi got me a blanket (the exact blanket over my shoulders now, I think it was an Xmas gift). So, I got out of the ofuro and went into the living room as usual and a bag was on the table for me. Inside was a pair of those sock-like socks that cover your feet to keep them more warm and a small towel. The towel had the cat from the movie Kiki's Delivery Service (if anyone remembers that old Miyazaki film) on it. So, that was Xmas.
Yesterday was Tonpi's birthday.
I would have said it to her but then at Kyuudou I remembered something. I never made her a poster like I did for Ai. I had to make one so she wouldn't get upset or anything. So I acted the rest of the day like I had forgotten it was. I would have liked to say it though but I didn't want her to think I knew it was and just didn't make one when I gave it to her the next day (today). At Kyuudou I finally got to shoot at the far away targets. My arrows can't fly the entire distance, falling short. But that made me happy ^_^ I just wanted to try and I did. But they also added my name to the line up so I'll be shooting at it for now on. Yatta! But I'm only allowed to shoot 2 arrows at a time while everyone else does 4. But yesterday... yeah. That's pretty much all I did. Well, I froze as well especially when the night came. I decided not to go to club today because of the fact that I'd be making that poster. I wouldn't be sleeping all night and really, I didn't. Without that heater it was terrible. Sitting there for all those hours trying to decorate and stay warm. I didn't go to sleep till 4am and I still wasn't done with it. But I needed to sleep.
I ended up waking up at noon today. I needed that sleep. Ate lunch (some kind of corn miso ramen, those cups you buy at the store, it was soooo delicioussss~) then finished the poster. She was (or so it seemed) amazed with it. Next blog I'll post a picture. I think it came out "alright". I think I do a lot better with things when I'm put under pressure though. Like, for having to stay up just to have it done when I just wanted to screw the whole thing, it came out pretty well. Then I cleaned my room today. My room was seriously a disaster. I don't even know how it looked so bad. That was hell cleaning in the cold too. Okaa-san thanked me from the front door (I was in my room by the entrance) today. I was starting to clean my room then but I don't know if she realized that was my intention. So, she could have been thanking me for giving Tonpi the poster or for me cleaning the room. She said, "domo arigatou" which made it even more weird. For the people who know nothing of Japanese: "arigatou" alone, is a thank you but American version would be "thanks". "Domo arigatou" is a "thank you very much" but it's not as strong as "arigatou gozaimasu" which is the greatest form of thank you you can give to show great thanks when you know the person as a friend. You use gozaimasu when you're dealing with important people or with people of a higher level than you, too. So, for what ever the reason I did something good.
Ai had to go to the hospital again. Did I mention before how there was something wrong with her lip? Well, it happened again. She had influenza a few days ago too. I think she's over that though now. I downloaded Glory Hill's album today. I knew about them for awhile (I think it was Kesari who told me about them. Either her or Wakako) but I just decided to do that today. They're pretty good. They remind me a little of Simple Plan for some reason (they probably sound nothing like them either haha) but they are wayyy better than them. They're Japanese but they sing all their songs in English. I really like their song "Everything". It's not on their current album but they have other great songs on that like "Daybreak". haha It's kinda hard to understand their English but I liked when I heard the one set of lyrics in "Everything": "Everything's alright, no one cares that you're burning, we're still here together". At least I think that's what they said (I didn't look up the lyrics) this is Japanese English so I could be wrong. But what popped in my head was, that's so American. So, check that band out. They're still indie so help them out! Let them be known!
Yesterday was the first snowfall^^
I was at Kyuudou when it happened. It was only for like 5 minutes and it melted when it hit the ground, but still, our first snowfall.
